Walk Description:

 

This walk starts from the main car park in Aberfoyle. The route is mostly on wide forest paths. The route leaves Aberfoyle on the Rob Roy Way which is followed north-westwards for about 7.5km - 4.75 miles to reach a small unnamed lochan. The RRW is left at the lochan, and a forest track is followed as it descends to the shoreline of Loch Venachar. A track heading westwards, is now followed to meet the A821 road just west of Brig o’ Turk. The road is now followed eastwards for a short distance to the finish Brig o’ Turk.

Walk Description::

 

This walk starts from the car park at Loch Katrine and follows the route of the Great Trossachs Path for the entire walk. The road is followed from the car park for about 0.5 km - ⅓ mile to meet a forest track. This track is followed as it twists and turns through the forest for around 4km – 2.5 miles until the A821 road is reached. The road is crossed, and the walk continues on the forest track, passing the southern shore of Loch Achray, to again meet the A821 road just west of Brig o’ Turk. The road is now followed eastwards for a short distance, to the finish Brig o’ Turk.

This walk starts and finishes in the centre of Annan and follows the banks of the River Annan from start to finish. The route leaves the town and follows the path on the west bank of the river northwards for about 9km - 5.5 miles passing through the village of Brydekirk to reach the B725 road at Hoddam Bridge. The bridge is crossed and the route returns to Annan following the east bank of the river heading southwards to return to the starting point.

Walk Description:

 

This walk starts from the A72 about 2.5 miles east of Woodshears Woods, just past Wester Happrew Farm. The walk leaves the road and follows a track, which leads to Brownsland Farm. This route continues on the track, leading to a path which passes between Ladyurd Hill and Riding Hill. The path is followed as it contours westwards and southwards around Penvalla Hill, to meet the route of the John Buchan Way. The route now continues north-westwards on the JBW, crossing the Hopehead Burn, to reach a path Junction between Broomy Side and Clover Law. The path to Broughton descends southward beside the Hollows Burn, to meet a track near Broughton Place. The track is followed downhill to meet the A701, which is followed southwards for a short distance to the finish in Broughton village.

This walk starts from the A72, at entrance to Woolshears Woods. The route follows a forestry track through Woolshears Woods, eventually exiting in a valley between Flint Hill and Ladyurd Hill. A fence is crossed and a short descent to leads to a burn north of Hopehead Farm. The burn is crossed, and the path is followed south-westward to reach a path junction between Broomy Side and Clover Law, joining the John Buchan Way. The path to Broughton descends southward, beside the Hollows Burn, to meet a track near Broughton Place. The track is followed downhill to meet the A701, which is followed southwards for a short distance to the finish, in Broughton village.

Walk Description:::

 

Starting from the car park in Dunkeld. A short walk northwards along the A923 to the entrance to Atholl Woods.  A track is now followed which climbs gradually through the forest, passing Hatton and Birkenburn to reach The Glack and Mill Dam about 4km (2.5M) from Dunkeld. The track continues northwards passing Rotnell Loch and Dowally Loch to reach Raor Lodge. A track on the left is now followed as it descends towards Dowally, after about 1.5km (1M) another track on the left is followed to reach a minor road which is followed to reach a small lochan. A path on the right descends to the Hilton Hotel and continues to pass Dunkeld cathedral to finish in car park.

This walk starts at Kindallachan just off the A9 road about 6 miles north of Dunkeld. The walk leaves Kindallachan and follows the cycle path southwards to reach Guay. A minor road is joined and followed eastwards to reach a sharp left hand bend. The track straight ahead is now followed for a short distance to a junction. A right turn is made and this good track is followed passing Dowally Loch and Rotnell Loch to reach Mill Dam and the Glack. The route now continues on the forest track as it descends through the forest, passing Birkenurn and Hatton to reach the A923 road which is followed for a short distance to the finish in the car park in Dunkeld.

Walk Description::

 

This walk starts in Drumfrochar Road, Overton, Greenock. The walk starts next to Whinhill School and follows Papermill Road and Overton Road to reach the aqueduct that is the Greenock Cut. The path besides the Cut is followed as it circles around the hills above Greenock, the path is mostly flat and is in good condition and arrives at Cornalees Visitor Centre after about 8km/5 miles. From the visitors centre the route joins the Kelly Cut another aqueduct that flows around the hills from the Kelly Reservoir. This path is fairly flat but can be very muddy as it crosses the peat moorland heading towards Wemyss Bay. Once the Kelly Reservoir is reached a track is followed as it descends to the Firth of Clyde at Wemyss Bay.

This walk starts on the A803 road near Banknock. The walk joins the towpath on the Forth & Clyde canal and heads eastward passing Bonnybridge to arrive at the Falkirk Wheel. The towpath is left, and a local path is followed which lead to a section of Antonine’s Wall. The path is followed as far as Rough Castle Roman Fort where the path is re-joined to return to the Falkirk Wheel and the Forth and Clyde Canal. The Forth and Clyde towpath is now re- joined and is followed eastward through Falkirk, passing a number of locks, to the finish at Helix Park.

This walk starts from the car park next to Coulter Village Hall, on a minor road just off the A702 road about 3KM (2M) west of Biggar. The walk starts by following a minor road southward for the first kilometre (0.6M) to a road junction where the left fork is followed for a short distance to reach the road end near Nisbet Farm. The walk continues now heading eastward on a track through the hills, passing the site of Cow Castle, to reach Mitchell Hill Farm after about 4km. A circuit around the base of White Hill returns the walk to the outward route and the track back to Nisbet Farm is retraced on the outward route to return to the starting point.

The minor road is now followed north eastward to reach a road junction near to Birthwood Farm, this road is now followed northward to reach the finish at Coulter village hall which is close to the Coulter Mill Inn.

This walk starts from the B9097 road at Vane Farm nature centre on the southern shore of Loch Leven. The route starts by entering the Nature Reserve and following a trail which makes a short climb up to a viewpoint before returning to the visitors centre. This route now joins the Loch Leven Heritage Trail as it circles the loch in an anti-clockwise direction on a good path which is mostly flat but with great views over the loch. The route around the loch finishes at the Pier Road car park in Kinross. A short walk through the town leads to a lay-by near the Green Hotel on High Street.

This walk starts from the B920 road at New Gullet Bridge over the River Leven on the eastern shore of Loch Leven. The Water Board Road is followed beside the River Leven to the footbridge which leads to the loch shore close. The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is now followed in an anti-clockwise circuit of the loch. This path is followed until a path junction is reached at the edge of the golf course near Kinross. This path, skirting the golf course, is now followed to reach High Street near the Green Hotel where the walk finishes.
